Mick Jagger and Co. come on postage stamps. The twelve stamps with images of the Rolling Stones will be available from February 20th.

Great honor for The Rolling Stones. To mark the 60th anniversary of the British rock band, the Royal Mail will offer a set of twelve postage stamps for sale. The main set consists of a total of eight stampsdepicting the musicians during legendary live concerts. Including, for example, her appearance in London’s Hyde Park in 1969, a gig from 1995 in Tokyo or from October 2017 in Düsseldorf.

The picture from Düsseldorf shows the former drummer Charlie Watts. Watts died at the age of 80 in August 2021. On four other stamps, which are presented in a so-called miniature sheet, two recordings of the band and two advertising posters for their world tours can be seen. A press release stated that the band had managed to have such a large and far-reaching career. That is why they are immortalized on the stamps.

The stamps can already be ordered

The Rolling Stones are only the fourth band to receive this honor in Great Britain after the Beatles (2007), Pink Floyd (2016) and Queen (2020). The stamps go on sale on January 20th, can, however, be pre-ordered online now. In addition to the classic postage stamps, there are also some collector’s items with special motifs for sale.
