How many vital forces will be needed to relaunch the construction of new nuclear reactors? This is the very political question to which the Gifen – the professional union of nuclear companies – tried to answer in a report submitted to the government this Friday, while France must commit to the construction of six new reactors of the type EPR by the end of 2027.

The recruitment effort is commensurate with the magnitude of the site, gigantic. In total, within ten years, the workforce in the nuclear industry (some 220,000 jobs today, including 125,000 direct jobs) could jump by nearly 25%.
