The residents of La Duchère in Lyon light up their neighborhood

For this new edition of the Lyon Festival of Lights, which begins this Thursday evening and ends Sunday, the Duchère district will be entitled to a somewhat special screening. “It’s been a long time since there’s been anything here,” comments Myriam, 10 years old. I can not wait ! » If this young Duchéroise is so excited, it is also because for four evenings, her “ghost” will appear on the building “right in front of her house”. “I will be able to see myself from my balcony,” she smiles.

And she’s not the only one. “In total, nearly 500 residents, of all ages, will be able to find themselves in a mosaic projected during the interludes during two shows,” explains Philippe Dubost, co-creator of the Ghosts. Thanks to this Nantes audiovisual studio, specialized in this type of activity, La Duchère will be illuminated and told by those who live there. The latter participated “step by step in the project”, from the creation of the mapping story to the capture of their movements.
