“Civil security of tomorrow” is already on the rails today. In a rare consensus, Parliament voted definitively on Tuesday in favor of the bill which sets up a series of measures for firefighters and the experimentation of a single emergency call number. After a last adoption in the Senate, the National Assembly validated at the beginning of the evening this bill which answers old demands of the soldiers of the fire, with a unanimous vote of the 123 deputies present. The objective of the text is to reform the rescue chain while preserving the French civil security model based mainly on volunteering, 80% of the 250,000 firefighters being non-professionals.
