Back to Blackthe biopic dedicated to Amy Winehouse, will arrive in French cinemas on April 24, 2024. A release date announced mid-week by Studiocanal which, at the same time, unveiled a second image taken from this film by Sam Taylor-Johnson (Nowhere Boy, Fifty Shades of grey) with Marisa Abela in the title role.
On the screenplay side, the writing was entrusted to Matt Greenhalgh, who had already worked with Sam Taylor-Johnson on Nowhere Boy, the 2009 John Lennon biopic. Finally, the film benefits from full approval from Universal Music Group, Sony Music Publishing as well as the family of the late British singer, which means that the feature film will be pace through its musical catalog.
