No public holiday that holds for 2022. Present at the foot of the statue of Joan of Arc on the Place des Pyramides, in Paris, on the occasion of May 1st, Marine Le Pen took the opportunity to attack the president head-on Emmanuel Macron. “If, to the great misfortune of France, (he) were required to serve a second term, chaos would be absolutely general”, declared the president of the Rassemblement national (RN)

“It would be social devastation, the one he has not yet fully managed to implement,” she continued. It would be the tax purge because the European Union will obviously now demand the implementation of the measures which were suspended by the Covid-19 crisis ”. And “it would be the continuation of the cut-to-market sales of France and our large groups,” added the manager.

“The president of civil peace”

Marine Le Pen, who will be a candidate for the third time in the presidential election, wants to focus her campaign on “protection, projection and transmission”. She intends to pose as “the president of civil peace and national assembly, and national union”. The reverse, according to her, of the current tenant of the Elysee: “There will remain of Emmanuel Macron’s mandate only this impression of disunity, of destruction (…). We have just lived through four years of chaos, disunity, fragmentation. It is a mandate of violence and particularly violence against the French people ”.

The head of the RN was then to chair a digital meeting that will launch its campaign for regional elections. It must in particular put forward proposals for the youth, knowing that the RN has become the leading party of 25-34 year olds, according to several polls. The 18-24 year-olds vote more in favor of Emmanuel Macron or the leader of rebellious France, Jean-Luc Mélenchon.
