The RATP renames the Argentinian metro station to support the Blues in the World Cup final

Served by line 1, on the border of the 16th and 17th arrondissements of Paris, the Argentine metro station is not the best known in the capital. On this Sunday of the final of the Football World Cup, the RATP however shed a beautiful light on it by renaming it in the night. For a few hours, this station is called “Argentina – France, Allez les Bleus”.

The operator of Parisian public transport had already done it four and a half years ago, after the final won by the Blues against Croatia (4-2), in Russia.

Six resorts already renamed in 2018

Six metro stations had their names changed: on line 2, for example, “Charles de Gaulle – Etoile” had become “On a 2 Etoiles” and “Victor Hugo” had been renamed “Victor Hugo Lloris”.

On lines 6 and 14, the “Bercy” station was once called “Bercy les Bleus”. A good idea to replicate this winter, in the event of another triumph, given the viruses and colds circulating in France and Qatar.
