“The Raft of Medusa” at Tempelhof Airport – Culture

It is probably unique in the ninety-year history of Berlin-Tempelhof Airport, which is now used as an art quarter, that a cobbled-together raft sets sail from here to apocalyptic music. Director Tobias scratch arranged this, he will be opera director in Hamburg in two years and this year he once again captivated the Bayreuth audience with his funny, cheeky interpretation of “Tannhäuser”. Scratcher also had two public stands installed in the huge Tempelhof Hangar 1, separated by a huge knee-deep water basin in which the raft in question bobs.
