When Queen Elizabeth was at her Balmoral estate in Scotland, she would wake up every morning to the sound of bagpipes being played under her bedroom. Since bagpipes are known to have a very haunting sound, it can be assumed that all the other guests woke up at the latest when the instrument sounded.
