The Pyrénées-Atlantique and the Hautes-Pyrénées in orange rain and flood vigilance

The departments of Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Hautes-Pyrénées were placed on orange vigilance this Thursday morning
by Météo-France for rain and flood. Showers are still expected over the western Pyrenees in the morning before the arrival of more continuous precipitation. They will strengthen from the middle of the afternoon, going from moderate to strong on the Spanish border of the Pyrénées-Atlantiques.

In the evening, these heavy rains will spread to the two departments placed in orange vigilance, with an hourly intensity of the order of 5 to 10 mm in places, in particular in the Basque Country and the relief of the Pyrenees. They will continue during the night from Thursday to Friday as well as in the morning of Friday with always the same intensity.
