The prospect of the court is getting closer for Pierre Palmade. The Melun public prosecutor’s office requested the 55-year-old actor be sent to trial for “injuries” and “involuntary manslaughter”, one year after the serious accident he caused in Seine-et-Marne under the influence of narcotics, learns -on this Monday March 4 from the public prosecutor, confirming information from the Parisian. On the other hand, the Melun prosecutor, Jean-Michel Bourlès, did not request a referral to trial for the two men who accompanied Pierre Palmade in the vehicle.
In November 2023, the investigating judges informed the various parties that the investigations were closed. The Melun public prosecutor’s office had three months to make requisitions and decide whether or not to hold a trial for the actor.
On February 10, 2023, on a departmental road in Seine-et-Marne, Pierre Palmade was driving a car which hit a vehicle coming in front. In addition to the actor, the accident left three seriously injured: a man, his son and his sister-in-law, who lost the baby she was expecting. A medical expert concluded that the baby carried by the pregnant passenger – who underwent a cesarean section following the accident – had died before birth and could therefore not be legally considered a person. Thus, the criminal classification is likely to be reduced only to involuntary injuries during the trial.
Having suffered from drug addiction problems for decades, Pierre Palmade had just spent three days using drugs, without sleeping, when he took the wheel with two passengers to go shopping.
