Matthew Rosset became last month the first winner of an (obviously) unofficial test designed by his humorist friend Pierre Croce, and put online on Tuesday on
his YouTube channel.
We strongly recommend this half-hour of a hilarious competition, which pits 13 divers representing each region of metropolitan France against each other. Five-time European champion (in 2012, 2015 and 2017) and team world champion in 2017, on 1 and 3 m springboards, the 31-year-old athlete tried his hand at 5 m on ” a discipline that we hope will soon be Olympic”, according to Pierre Croce.
“He made the perfect alignment”
Three criteria are immediately announced by the presenters Pierre Croce and Benjamin Verrecchia to seduce the judges: “The noise, the splashes and the little redness on the chest. After “years of coaching training on the flat” with Pierre Croce, Matthieu Rosset nearly killed the competition with his first jump, “the rainbow”, which scored a perfect 30 out of 30. “Three 10s is wonderful, I’ve never had that in my life, even as a high-level diver,” smiles the person concerned, in accordance with the eighth degree tone of the video. In the final, Matthieu Rosset once again flew over the competition with a “chair” jump, with thighs and buttocks on fire at the landing, and a score of 28, synonymous with victory. “Mohamed Ali, Michael Jordan, Roger Federer, Matthieu Rosset”, then lets go of a judge.
