The Paris Court of Appeal ordered the release of Pierre Palmade under judicial supervision, AFP learned from a judicial source.
The actor caused a serious accident on February 10 while driving under the influence of cocaine. On February 17, in Melun, the judge of freedoms and detention had assigned him to residence, under electronic bracelet, in the addiction service of a hospital. This decision was challenged on Friday before the investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal by the general prosecutor’s office, in a context of speculation on the comedian’s state of health.
Since the collision which left three seriously injured in Seine-et-Marne, including a pregnant woman who lost her baby, the 54-year-old actor has been indicted for homicide and involuntary injuries by driver having used narcotics in state of legal recidivism.
