Riolo expects ‘very good Mbappé’ against Real Sociedad

Daniel Riolo thinks that Kylian Mbappé will flare up this evening against Real Socidad, as he explains in Apolline Matin on RMC and RMC Story: “As I think he is in his last season at PSG, I imagine that he too wants to shine. But I don’t think Mbappé needs this kind of thing to motivate himself. He’s an extraordinary champion, an extraordinary guy. I don’t think there’s much that bothers Mbappé. He is certainly in his last season in Paris. He will play it to the fullest. I am convinced that he will be very good tonight and that he will score. He will take PSG to the quarterfinals and after that, everything will depend on the draw, he “There are big teams in the Champions League. But there is one that is average (Real Sociedad) and we have to take advantage of it.”

“PSG came out of a very tough group,” recalls Riolo

Daniel Riolo in Apolline Matin on RMC and RMC Story: “Paris fell into a very tough group. In my opinion there were only stronger opponents than Real Sociedad in this group. Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, that’s it. is superior to Real Sociedad. And PSG came out of it by finishing second. The match that was completely missed was the one at Newcastle (4-1 defeat), where Paris was really shaken up. In Milan ( 2-1 defeat), there was a good half and a really bad half.”

“For the rest, coming out of this group when PSG changed a lot of things last summer, it was already a satisfaction. And when behind, you have the chance to draw Real Sociedad, I think it is necessary calmly consider qualifying for the quarter-finals. If things were to go badly, we would broadcast for hours to talk once again about the PSG disaster, but I find it hard to believe it.”

Riolo finds the Parisians “fairly serene” before their big meeting

Daniel Riolo is confident for PSG before their Champions League round of 16 first leg against Real Sociedad. The member of After Foot explains it in Apolline Matin on RMC and RMC Story: “There is a lot of trauma, wounds, scars, absolutely. But it must still be said that these disasters happened against big names of European football, whether it’s Barça, Real, Bayern. Last year (elimination in the round of 16), Bayern wasn’t even a disaster. It was just a stronger team. I I’m not going to say that it hangs over the heads of Parisians, but it’s something that hasn’t been exorcised. When Luis Enrique does all his press conferences pretending it doesn’t exist, I think even though he did a little too much to calm everyone down.”

“I think this group seems quite calm to me. Certainly, Marquinhos may be the last man in this team which is dragging all the loose balls of PSG a bit, but I find it hard to believe that PSG will not not pass against Real Sociedad.”

“PSG should have no difficulty qualifying,” says Riolo

Daniel Riolo looks ahead to the Champions League round of 16 first leg between Paris and Real Sociedad, in Apolline Matin on RMC and RMC Story: “PSG’s recent past means that every time we reach the round of 16 , it ends in disaster. But there, it looks more like the draw that PSG had at the start of the QSI adventure, with Valencia or Leverkusen. Because from time to time, we have the right to have a little chance. There couldn’t be a better draw than that.”

“To say that Real Sociedad is completely over the top is a deliberate exaggeration. But this team had a very good start to the season, it was a bit of a surprise in Spain, and then things returned to normal. normal. In addition, there are a lot of absentees in this team, important players are not there. Objectively, PSG should have no difficulty in qualifying.”
