The obligatory mask outdoors in busy places

In the Bouches-du-Rhône, where the incidence rate is 426 per 100,000 inhabitants, the prefecture decided to reinstate the wearing of masks outdoors on Wednesday. It will only be compulsory in places with a high population concentration in the department. According to
Provence, this concerns in particular “the markets (…) the waiting areas for land public transport (…) the surroundings of shopping centers”.

Offenders are liable to a fine of 135 euros. The prefecture has also decided to ban alcohol consumption on public roads. Beaches and natural spaces, parks and gardens, however, are not affected by the wearing of a mask.
