the Nupes will go without “illusion” and will boycott the dinner

The four main parties – LFI, PS, PCF, EELV – of the New People’s Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) announced on Tuesday August 29 in a joint press release that they would surrender without “delusion” Wednesday at the invitation of Emmanuel Macron to political parties, whose objective is to “to make proposals in the interest of the people”.

The Head of State must receive the parties represented in Parliament in Saint-Denis, in order to build ” together “ legislative texts and to pave the way, “if applicable”referendums.

The program foresees an afternoon of work and then a dinner, in which the Nupes will not participate, not including “what he would bring to our fellow citizens” explains the Nupes in its press release, signed by the four party leaders: Manuel Bompard for La France insoumise, Olivier Faure for the Socialist Party, Fabien Roussel for the French Communist Party and Marine Tondelier for Europe Ecologie-Les Verts. “We do not want to participate again in a media staging”they still report, in response to this invitation, whose terms used by Emmanuel Macron leave them “dumbfounded”.

The Nupes will include proposals on the difficulties of recruitment in national education, the increase in the price of school supplies, the cost of student life, the price of electricity, fuel and inflation on food products .

Finally, the left-wing parties are calling for a referendum on pension reform, “the only referendum project that French women and men are waiting for”according to them.
