The Nonfictionale in Bad Aibling shows documentaries on the subject of the future – Munich

Sometimes the cinema travels into the past, sometimes into the future, depending on the genre. In Bad Aibling the focus is not on yesterday, today or tomorrow, but on “About: Tomorrow”. At least that’s the motto of the 16th. Nonfictional, the documentary film festival in the Upper Bavarian spa town. Starting on March 7th, 17 documentaries will be shown over four days, all of which revolve around questions about the future. This also applies to the opening film “Plug & Pray”, which dealt with artificial intelligence back in 2010.

Munich-based Isa Willinger is showing two films: “Hi, AI” is about the encounter between humans and humanoid robots, and “Plastic Fantastic” is about how we deal with plastic waste. The Swiss-German production “We were buddies” is dedicated to the hard coal mining industry, while “Up to here and how further” accompanies climate activists and asks the question of how far civil disobedience can go. In addition to the demonstrations in Aibvision Film Theater There are discussions with filmmakers and a media education program for children and young people.
