The ninth edition of the Cologne “Poetica” focuses on nature – culture

The chirping of birds and crickets open the evening in the auditorium of the University of Cologne. A comparatively idyllic start to the ninth “Poetica”, Because although the poetry festival organized by the Academy for Language and Poetry in Darmstadt and the International College Morphomata at the University of Cologne has the motto “After Nature,” curator Daniela Danz has given a pretty clear rejection of the pure idyll: “Nobody who writes, can close our eyes to the fact that nature can no longer be perceived unbroken,” she postulated in the afternoon conversation before the introductory event. “You can no longer write real idylls. Everything you write reflects the traces of man and his use of nature.”
