The mother of little Mia, who had ordered the kidnapping of her 8-year-old daughter of whom she no longer had custody, was indicted on Friday for “kidnapping of a minor in an organized gang”, announced the prosecutor of the Republic of Nancy, François Pérain.

Lola Montemaggi, 28, was found Sunday with her daughter after more than five days on the run, in a squat in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. She was extradited late Friday morning and heard by an investigating judge in the early evening. “She wanted to take responsibility for her act, legitimize it and justify it,” said François Pérain.
