In March 2022, the city of Lyon launched its first participatory budget. For two months, citizens were invited to formulate their proposals to develop their city. A total of 217 projects were selected. While most revolve around the environment – greening public squares, greening certain streets or planting orchards – others, a little offbeat, have had the merit of standing out from the crowd.
The Lyonnais have until December 4 to decide between them. However, we will have to wait until 2023 for the selected projects to materialize. To wait, here is a video selection of the most unusual proposals.
