The mayor of Menton Jean-Claude Guibal died this Monday morning at the age of 80, confirmed the municipality with 20 minutes. Based on information from Nice morning, he was said to have suffered a heart attack at his home. His family and the national police were still there late Monday morning.
The Mentonnais had started his sixth term in 2020. He became mayor of the town for the first time in 1989, a record of longevity for an elected official. The politician was also a member of the Alpes-Maritimes for twenty years.
