The mayor of Blausasc imposes the health pass during a municipal council and is reprimanded

On December 22, the population and elected officials were obliged to present a health pass or negative PCR test for 48 hours to attend the municipal council of Blausasc, in the Alpes-Maritimes, relates Nice morning. A decision by the mayor that is against the law. Indeed, it indicates that “the presentation of the health pass cannot be required for access to polling stations or political meetings and activities”.

Questioned by the local daily, Michel Lottier defended himself by arguing that he was putting in place sanitary measures as the prefect had requested. The latter then wrote to him to “remind him that he cannot validly condition the participation of elected officials and / or the public in the presentation of the health pass”. The elected official assured “having nothing to hide” when the newspaper asked him why the session had not been filmed or broadcast as in other municipalities.

The date of the next session and its conditions of access have not yet been fixed. One thing is certain, it will still not be able to be subject to the vaccination pass, adopted on Sunday by Parliament, which will soon replace the health pass.
