“The Masked Singer”: Presenter Jeannine Michaelsen was Brilli. – TV

The guessing game is entering the next round and already into its sixth season! At “The Masked Singer” on Saturday evening, impressive costumes were presented again and more or less whimsical tips were given by the jury.

The viewers were surprised right at the beginning of the show. Instead of moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (51), his colleague Thore Schölermann (37) stood at the microphone and greeted the guests. The reason: Opdenhövel was in quarantine. But Schölermann is also an old hand in “Masked Singer” and was there in Season 4 as “Monstronaut”. As a jury guest, comedian Ralf Schmitz (47) was allowed to compete with moderator Ruth Moschner (45) and singer Rea Garvey (48).

Emma developed the Brilli

Four new masks remained secret until the live show: The disco ball, the orc and Galax’Sis were presented. Also new this season: A costume was designed by a child. Pro Sieben had started a big call, with a huge amount of painted ideas for a mask pouring in.

Ten-year-old Emma won with her “Brilli”. In return, she not only got a surprise visit from the monstronaut aka Thore at home, but was also allowed to watch the Brilli performance live in the studio.

Brilli sang “It’s a kind of magic” by Queen – but caused the jury to be completely at a loss. Ruth Moschner sensed a deceptive maneuver by moderator Opdenhövel, claiming that he had secretly thrown himself into the costume. However, Ralf Schmitz was more likely to bet on a woman: “The Hunziker maybe?” Rea Garvey also counted on a lady: “I thought Lena Gercke. Someone who is confident and up for it.”

However, Moschner had looked closely at the evidence film and hoped to find clues there: “There were cars in the background. Does Lena drive a fast car?”

The glasses have to go

Although Emma’s costume invention caused a lot of excitement, the Brilli received too few votes from the audience at the end of the evening and had to take off his mask. Ruth Moschner repeated the insane assumption that Matthias Opdenhövel wasn’t stuck in quarantine at all, but had secretly warbled on the “Masked Singer” stage: “If Brilli is thrown out, of course my theory works that Matthias Opdenhövel is behind it because he then moderate again next week.”

Rea Garvey initially steadfastly refused to give a tip: “I have no idea. Zero.” Comedian Schmitz suddenly came up with yet another idea around the corner: “I’m sure it’s Hella out of her mind. If the head comes off here and she yells ‘Hello, dear nation’, then I’ll give it a go.” Rea was also urged to finally give a tip, he thought aloud: “Let’s all of us who work at ‘taff’ go through It could be Rebecca. Or Vivienne Geppert.”

It wasn’t one of these – but Rea Garvey was spot on with the tip “moderator”. When Brilli took off his head, Jeannine Michaelsen (40) appeared! Above all, the presenter thanked the artist who had made her appearance possible: “How wonderfully cute this costume is! Emma, thank you for letting me be your Brilli.”
