Tiling has long been the preferred covering in bathrooms, and for a long time now it has been used both on the floor and on the walls of the kitchen or bathroom.
In recent seasons, we have found this use of floor-to-ceiling tiling in rooms such as the bedroom or living room: a trend that is largely confirmed in 2024!
Large format tiles
This year again, tiling is thinking big – even very big. This type of tiling has a significant advantage: it gives a nice impression of space. Always essential on the floor, XXL tiles are also perfect allies for giving texture to walls.
However, we avoid the total look, and we do not hesitate to mix materials – or even introduce patterns to bring the decor to life.
Spotlight on terrazzo
Retro decoration remains very fashionable in 2024. If the 1970s continue to inspire us, the 80s are rearing their ugly head – and with them, chrome is making a comeback in our interiors.
Driven by this trend, imitation terrazzo tiles are the star of the year!

The days when we wisely combined floor tiles and wall tiles are over! This year, we are taking the time to think about our decor by combining different types of tiles in various sizes and colors. Because now, it is no longer just a question of structuring the space or protecting a targeted area, such as the sink area of the bathroom, but of creating an interior with a strong personality.
We therefore rush to mix different models to create a truly unique decor.
Natural materials lead the way
Tiling has made a comeback in our interiors thanks to technological innovations which today make it possible to find imitation wood or natural stone tiles that are more real than life.
In 2024, parquet flooring is a must have – whether you want to adopt a minimalist look or a “castle life” look. Easier to install, parquet effect tiles are therefore shaping up to be a best-seller.
For a more mineral aesthetic, we rely on the sobriety of travertine for an organic aesthetic or on marble for a more sophisticated look.
Dynamic patterns
This year, it’s decided: decor stops taking itself seriously! When it comes to colors, accessories or furniture, we allow ourselves a little imagination. And the tiles happily follow suit!
If geometric patterns are safe values, we don’t hesitate to go for more offbeat patterns – as long as they are dynamic and colorful.
If you’re afraid of making a mistake, opt for polka dots or stripes – patterns that are easier to tame, and very trendy in 2024!
A metallic touch
In its early days, metal effect tiles were mainly associated with loft decor. While it perfectly imitates raw, aged metal, this type of tile is also available in golden variations, ideal for enhancing the decor.
To play down this luxurious aesthetic, we combine the gold tiles with a more sober terrazzo type model.
Very current colors
This year, colors are taking over our interiors and, unsurprisingly, tiling is taking over the trend.
Terracotta, midnight blue, pastel yellow or khaki green: forget about painting and go for tiles to adopt the key colors of 2024!
Polished concrete effect tiles hold up well
Polished concrete-style tiling is now one of the classics. And this year again, we must reckon with him. If the total look is running out of steam, it remains a perfect ally to highlight colored wall tiles, a coating or a textured paint – especially lime paint.
Although it is still popular in a sober version, especially in minimalist interiors, concrete effect tiles take on colors. Take the opportunity to adopt a trendy shade of red or orange.
Zellige effect tiles are gaining ground
Zellige tiles still enhance our walls in 2024. They can also be used on the floor. For passage areas, we can therefore prefer imitation zellige tiles to the original model, because it is more suitable for a passage area.
To break away from the ethnic chic or bohemian look and adopt a more contemporary style, we have fun mixing colors and adopting a chevron pose.
