Start-ups and fans of “The Lions’ Den” have reason to be happy: Judith Williams has ended her break and is returning to the set.

Judith Williams (52) reports to fans and followers with good news. The entrepreneur returns in “The Lion’s Den” and will be back in front of the camera for the new season. She announced the news on Instagram with a short video in which she poses behind the famous lion door in the filming studio dressed in a colorful one-piece.

“I have to tell you something… I’m back!” she writes in the clip. Williams is looking forward to “finally getting to know exciting and innovative start-ups again.” She also happily announces that filming will start soon.

Private break for the family

The entrepreneur publicly announced in February 2023 that she would temporarily take a break from “DHDL” as an investor. The reason for this was family: in 2022, Williams lost her father, who suffered from Alzheimer’s. Her mother was then diagnosed with lung cancer, and Williams wanted to be there for her around the clock. She is said to have now recovered from her illness.

As a result, the 52-year-old sat out filming for the 14th and 15th seasons. Instead, the Lions welcomed Tijen Onaran (38) as a new investor member. In addition to her, Ralf Dümmel (57), Carsten Maschmeyer (64), Nils Glagau (48), Dagmar Wöhrl (69), Janna Ensthaler (40) and Tillman Schulz (34) also took part in the past episodes.

Judith Williams can be seen again on “DHDL” from season 16

According to VOX Williams will only be back in “The Lions’ Den” from autumn 2024 (also on RTL+) be visible. Before that, there will be a spring season without the beauty entrepreneur. An exact broadcast date is not yet known. The spring episodes usually air on television from April onwards, and the autumn seasons usually start at the end of August.
