Disruptions on SNCF lines will be limited this Thursday, April 20, for the “day of anger railroad worker”, organized by the unions to continue to demonstrate their opposition to the pension reform,
before the May Day protests.

Planned disruptions

There TGV traffic will be almost normalAnd 4 out of 5 TER will drive on average at the national level. For the connections Intercités, there will be 2 trains out of 5 in circulation, but no night connection. Internationally, traffic will be almost normal for the Eurostar and the Thalys.

Disturbances in the Paris region

In the Paris region, the service will be normal
on the RER A and B but also the tram lines T4, T11 and T13. The most disrupted line will be the Transilien line K with only 1 train out of 2. The RER C, D and E will only see two thirds of the service maintained, as for lines H, J, LR and U. Finally , there will be 3 out of 4 trains on lines N and P.

A strike during school holiday trips

The railway unions had proposed this day of mobilization on April 20 as a “preparation stage” before the May 1 demonstrations. This date falls on the eve of school holidays in the Paris and Occitan regions and a crossover weekend in the other areas which are already on vacation.
