The Le Train company comes out of the woods to meet its future travelers

Travelers at several stations in the West will see a new type of sales agent this week. The private railway company Le Train is participating for the first time in the European Mobility Weekin the stations of Bordeaux, Nantes, Rennes, Tours and Angoulême.

Created in February 2020, The train aims by the end of 2025, beginning of 2026, to serve eleven destinations, to connect the metropolises of Bordeaux, Rennes, Nantes and Tours, the large urban areas of Poitiers, Angoulême and Angers and the coastal towns of La Rochelle and Arcachon. Concentrated until now on refining its strategy, raising funds and launching its orders for trains which will be built by the Spaniard Talgo, the railway company born in Charente and now based in Bordeaux, believes that “it is the right time to meet our future travelers,” explains the deputy general director, Catherine Pihan-Le Bars.

“Travelers are restricting their travel due to lack of available supply”

“We want to raise awareness of Le Train with events on the different station forecourts that we will serve during our commercial launch, to “tease” this desire to travel between Brittany, Nantes and the South-West, while the travelers are now restricting their travel due to a lack of available service,” continues the Deputy Director General.

The idea of this company is to offer high-speed connections, making maximum use of the section of the LGV Sud Europe Atlantique, to reduce travel times between these different cities. “The commercial start-up of the company is currently conditional on several parameters, in particular the delivery of our rolling stock,” adds Catherine Pihan-Le Bars.
