The last generation sprayed the Brandenburg Gate – culture

In the meantime, one can no longer avoid stating this: the women and men of the “last generation” are really the biggest pain in the ass. For a while they were refreshing in their radicalism and, in a tricky way, likeable because their message was right. Meanwhile, their annoyance has lost much of the charm of anarchy, also because the urgency of their concerns is obscured by the grotesque transformation of the protests. People stuck on car roofs tend to perform at the expense of their message. Anyone who sticks themselves to a conductor’s stand and ends up standing around in the background at this very easy-to-remove stand and looks stupid is depriving their own movement of its impact through involuntary self-caricaturing.
