On July 28, the investigating judge in charge of the investigation into the disappearance of Emile in Haut-Vernet decided to add the additional qualification for “kidnapping and forcible confinement”, learned 20 minutes from a source familiar with the matter, confirming information from the Parisian. As a reminder, on July 8, the little boy aged 2 and a half, was on vacation with his grandparents in the small hamlet in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence. Since then, despite the searches of the gendarmes and the means deployed by the investigators, the toddler remains untraceable.
According to this same source familiar with the matter, this decision by the Aix-en-Provence prosecutor’s office, in charge of the investigation, is intended to broaden the means of the investigations, but does not mean that the investigators have new elements in their this complex matter.
