A beautiful poster in perspective
On paper, Cameroon could have benefited from a more affordable opponent by finishing second and not third behind Senegal and Guinea. But there you have it, the many surprises during this CAN contested in Ivory Coast turned everything upside down. Only second in its group behind Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria will therefore find itself on the road to the Cameroonians in the round of 16.
The duel between the five-time Cameroonian winners and the three-time Nigerian champions therefore promises a suspenseful encounter between two nations aiming for the last four.
