The housekeeper relieved of their jewelry the grannies she cared for

The three grannies did not know each other. But, between July and September 2022, these three Toulouse women – aged 80, 86 and 100 – all filed a complaint for the unexplained disappearance of jewelry from their homes. Investigators from the property crime unit quickly found the common point between the three cases: a 40-year-old housekeeper, assigned to the three elderly people.

Their suspicions were confirmed when they found some of the jewelry pawned at the Municipal credit of Toulousewhere the custodian had necessarily had to give her identity to receive the funds.

The housekeeper, who had left the Pink City, was summoned to the police station on Monday. From a police source, she admitted the facts. Her overall loot is estimated at 18,900 euros, mainly in jewelry, but she had also, on occasion, stolen cash and “borrowed” the bank card of her proteges.

The forties must be summoned soon before the criminal court.
