More than 100,000 years ago, people were already making clothes – to protect themselves, to adorn themselves and perhaps also out of shame. The invention of textiles shaped the course of history.

It was 120,000 years ago. In a cave directly on the Moroccan Atlantic coast, people sat in the sand and skinned small predators that they had previously killed. The leather workshop had a sea view. For their work, they used bony scrapers to free the skin from the skin and sharp-edged cutting tools to cut leather and skin into pieces.
