Did you miss the early morning news? We have concocted a recap to help you see more clearly.

Prepare to be hot. According to Météo-France forecasts, the sun will indeed reign supreme over the country on Monday, temperatures will remain high, and the weather will even turn to a storm in the Pyrenees. On the northern half, we will record, along the Channel coast, pleasant temperatures of 23 to 27. Near the Benelux, it will be between 28 and 30, and 28 to 33 elsewhere. From southwest to southeast, the thermometer will display 33 to 35 degrees. The heat will even be stifling, from Languedoc-Roussillon to the lower Rhône valley, with locally 36/37 degrees. Mercury is also expected to continue to rise until Wednesday.

For US prosecutors, the trial which opens in Japan will focus on one of “the most brazen and best orchestrated leaks in recent history.” Michael Taylor and his son Peter, alleged accomplices in the exfiltration of Carlos Ghosn from the country at the end of 2019, are due to appear from Monday in court in Tokyo. They face up to three years in prison. The case is worthy of a Hollywood scenario. To succeed in his escape, investigators believe that Carlos Ghosn was hidden in a large box of audio equipment.

Israel turned a page in its political history on Sunday evening. Naftali Bennett became Prime Minister of the country. The Israeli parliament voted to trust his government, allowing him to succeed Benyamin Netanyahu, in power for 12 years. The new coalition goes from right to left, including the support of an Arab party. Naftali Bennett, the leader of the Yamina party, will lead the government for the first two years before handing over to centrist Yair Lapid for an equivalent period, under a rotation agreement.
