The Groko remains an option – beyond Berlin – opinion

Social Democrats and Christian Democrats are now coming together in Berlin to negotiate an alliance that seemed completely outdated: the so-called grand coalition. At federal and state level there was not a single one. The last two-party alliance of SPD and CDU ended in Lower Saxony in October. Election winner Stephan Weil (SPD) went together with his “desired partner”, the Greens. At that time, many social democrats conveyed a feeling of relief, as if a long process of suffering had ended: never again Groko.
