Ministry of Digital Economy and Society and the Capital Management and Capital Management Unit for Area Development (SCBA) under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (TSU) together with the Chiangmai Crypto City working group to organize the Chiangmai Web3 City and Metaverse event to open the Glimpse for Unicorns 29 – 30 June 2022 at the Science and Technology Park location Chiang Mai University and Mae Hia Subdistrict Municipality
with all three objectives:
- Create cooperation at the national level, both the government sector and private sector to use Web 3.0 technology and blockchain for urban development.
- Promote Thai Web3 Startup to go global by pitching and networking with VC
- Create knowledge and understanding for the public sector on Web 3.0 and Blockchain technology.
Mr. Chaiwut Thanakmanusorn, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, together with Dr. Kitti Sajjawattana, Director of Capital Management Unit for Local Development (TAMC), joined the opening ceremony of Chiangmai Web3 City and Metaverse. at the Science and Technology Park Chiang Mai University, led by Mr. Chaiwut Thanakmanusorn, had a panel discussion on the topic of Digital Startup and Urban Development into a Smart City with Mr. Wichai Thongtang and 5 new generations of startups, namely Mr. Hansthorn Srisuk ( Mr. Satang), Project Manager of Chiangmai Crypto City, Mr. Pongwut Praipaisalkit (Mr. Woody), CEO of Multiverse Expert, Mr. Matichon Manikat (Khun K), Co-founder of Easy Rice, Ms. Pitchayapa Siriratana ( Gift) Smart City Ambassador of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), and Mr. Kantapat Leung Charoenwattana, CEO of Pyramid Solutions Company Limited
