There had been the false “program” attributed to the High Commission for Planning which announced in January fanciful measures to fight against Covid-19. Now, it is a fake imitating the official website of the government which announces a new confinement from September 17.
Riding on the concerns related to the Delta variant, this document speaks of a “fourth wave in progress” and evokes a decision which would have been taken “following the speech of the president”, without specifying the date on this alleged speech.

This document is a fake, confirm to 20 minutes the services of the Prime Minister. Several clues let it guess: there is no trace of such a measure on the government site and the text circulating contains several syntax errors.
As several Internet users have noticed, it is possible to modify the appearance of content on this site in a browser, then to take a screenshot of the content thus modified to suggest that it comes from the government.
This modification is only visible to the Internet user who made it, it does not change the content of the site for others. A maneuver that requires little time and computer knowledge, but which can be misleading.
