Who will win the 2024 Car of the Year trophy?
This Monday morning the show will be awarded the Car of the Year 2024 prize, following the votes of a panel of European journalists. Seven cars are in the final, including two French models: the Renault Scénic and the Peugeot 3008.
Also competing are the BMW 5 Series, the Kia EV9, the Volvo EX30, the BYD Seal and the Toyota C-HR.

Many manufacturers absent
This 2024 edition, however, remains mixed with many absentees such as the brands of the Stellantis group, that of Volkswagen or even luxury manufacturers like Ferrari or Rolls-Royce. Audi, BMW, Mercedes have also passed their turn in a context where expenses linked to this type of event are increasingly reduced among brands.
MG, BYD: what new models for Chinese brands
Alongside the Renault group, the new products to discover will come from Chinese brands. The manufacturer MG will thus unveil the MG3, a small hybrid compact rival to the Peugeot 208 and Renault Clio.
The world leader in electric cars BYD will also be present, with its premium brands Yangwang and Denza.
R5, Spring: French novelties in Geneva
While neither Peugeot nor Citroën made the trip, the star of the show will of course be the new R5. Renault will unveil it with great fanfare by Renault during a press conference at 9:30 a.m.
The French group will also present the new version of the small Spring city car, 100% electric.

The 2024 edition of the Geneva Motor Show opens this Monday
Hello everyone and welcome to this live dedicated to the first day of the Geneva motor show.
