The first stage of the Vuelta 2023 was ubiquitous in its outcome, Saturday in Barcelona, seeing the DSM-Firmenich win to everyone’s surprise, for less than a second against Movistar. Remco Evenepoel and Soudal Quick-Step set a decent time during this inaugural team time trial contested in drastically reduced light conditions. Hence a good deal for him, as for Enric Mas, in the general classification.
