- Laura Andrieu, influencer from Toulouse, had nearly 30,000 subscribers on her Instagram account sharing trips or recipes.
- Two weeks ago, her subscribers alerted her to a theft of her account.
- After reporting it to the social network, the Toulouse woman saw her account be closed and could not have an interlocutor at Instagram. She was finally able to find her initial account Monday evening.
“This theft of my account made me lose four years of work, which were reduced to nothing. I was deadlocked for two weeks, ”says Laura Andrieu. Influencer since 2017 on the Instagram network, under the name @ journaldelaura with nearly 30,000 subscribers, this Toulouse resident lost her account on the social network two weeks ago, after reporting that it had been spoofed.
A real pain for the young woman of 25, who has lived for a year from this influencer work by sharing travel photos, cooking recipes or decorating tips.
Alerted by its subscribers
“These are some of my subscribers who warned me and I then noticed that several people with false profiles took over my account, my identity and my photos,” says the influencer. These people have taken over my work and scam Internet users by contacting them, pretending that they have won a game that I have organized. They even go so far as to ask them for their bank details so I reported this theft to Instagram, which completely deleted my account a few minutes later ”.
La Toulousaine, who also has a university degree in biology, contacted someone from Instagram to find her original account. She had even created a new profile to try to find her precious subscribers. After two weeks of no response, apart from emails from robots, she finally managed to recover her initial account on Monday evening.
