the French team leaves the European Championships with eight medals

Cock-a-doodle Doo. The French judo team finished the European Judo Championships, which were held this weekend in Sofia (Bulgaria), with a total of eight medals, including three titles. A balance sheet that places the tricolor delegation at the top of the ranking of nations in this competition.

Seven of these charms were reported by women. Shirine Boukli (-48 kg), Marie-Eve Gahié (-70 kg) and Romane Dicko (+78 kg) have in turn been at the end of their course. This is already the third European title for Dicko, at only 22 years old. Holder of the continental title and Olympic vice-champion in the under 52 kilos, Amandine Buchard had to settle for the silver medal following her defeat against the Briton Chelsie Giles in the final.

Bronze medalist at the last two editions of the European Championships, Sarah-Léonie Cysique this time won silver (-57 kg). Cédric Revol (-60 kg), Margaux Pinot (-70 kg) and Madeleine Malonga (-78 kg) are on their side mounted on the third step of the podium. Can’t wait for the World Championships in October… and the next European Championships, which will take place in France next year.
