Downhill: gold for Corinne Suter!

The Swiss, reigning world champion, is ahead of the Italian Sofia Goggia, silver medalist when she suffered a sprained left knee on January 23rd.

Camille Cerutti has just been evacuated on a stretcher

The Frenchwoman was taken care of after her terrible fall.

Descent: the chilling cries of Camille Cerutti after his fall

The Frenchwoman has left the track and her cries of pain do not bode well… The race is temporarily interrupted.

Downhill: abandonment of Tiffany Gauthier

The Frenchwoman was visibly injured and was not at the end of her race.

Downhill: Laura Gauché provisional 8th

Nice race for the Frenchwoman, 27th in the World Cup, who is currently in the top 10. There are two Tricolors left to pass: Tiffany Gauthier and Camille Cerutti.

Downhill: Corinne Suter takes the lead

The leading world champion shattered the dreams of Sofia Goggia by taking the provisional first place.

Downhill: on one leg, Goggia takes first place

Very seriously affected in the knee on January 23, the Italian Sofia Goggia takes the first provisional place! It’s a small miracle for the skier, reigning Olympic champion, when we know that she suffers from a “small” fracture of the fibula.

Downhill: Romane Miradoli’s tears after his poor performance

Romane Miradoli, 8th provisional after the passage of 11 skiers, very touched at the microphone of France Télévisions: “I’m really disgusted. I really wanted to have a good race and I didn’t manage to put everything into it. I’m sorry…but I’m really disappointed.”

Downhill: Romane Miradoli far from the account

There will be no medal for the Frenchwoman. Bib number 2, she finished 1″06 behind Elena Curtoni, the first skier to start.

There are three Tricolores to come:

  • 16. Left
  • 22. Gauthier
  • 27. Cerutti

Alpine skiing: the women’s descent shifted by half an hour

The first skier should start at 4:30.

Ski slopestyle: the title for Mathilde Gremaud

The Swiss won the gold medal, ahead of China’s Eileen Gu and Estonia’s Kelly Sildaru. Tess Ledeux finishes 7th.

1. Gremaud (SUI, 86.56)

2. Gu (CHI, 86.23)

3. Sildaru (EST, 82.06)

7. Ledeux (72.91)

Tess Ledeux: “My body was tired, my head too”

Tess Ledeux, provisional 7th in slopestyle skiing (France Télévisions): “I was very tired, I had a lot of worries in the last few days, back pain, a little sick… I tried to give the best today, to go beyond all that. I’m proud to have landed that first run and proud of those games. Now I can’t wait to get back to my family. My body was tired, my head too.”

The rest of the program

The day is obviously not over for the French. See you at 4 a.m. for the women’s downhill!

It’s over for Tess Ledeux, there will be no medal!

The Frenchwoman was not at the end of her third run and therefore failed to improve the score of her first run. Big disappointment for the skier, silver medalist on the big air and who will finish – at best – sixth on this slopestyle.

Tess Ledeux ejected from the provisional podium

The Russian Tatalina has just obtained a better score than the French on her second run. Ledeux can still get back on the podium on the third run!

Tess Ledeux falls on her second run!

The Frenchwoman does not improve her score in the first run, since she fell on landing a jump on her second run. She is still provisional third, we hope it will hold.

Ski slopestyle: Tess Ledeux in the hunt for a medal!

The Frenchwoman is provisional third after the first run of the final, with a jump to 72.91 points. The second round is right now!

Why France is so strong in biathlon

With five medals collected since the start of the 2022 Olympic Games in Beijing, including four for Quentin Fillon Maillet (three in “solo”, one in the mixed relay), biathlon is the main supplier of charms for the French delegation. A success that is not so surprising, and especially not new, if we remember the performances of Martin Fourcade, Raphaël Poirée, Marie Dorin-Habert, or even Anne Briand and Emmanuelle Claret in the 90s.

Before the men’s relay on Tuesday morning (7:30 a.m.), RMC Sport explains the keys to this success.

The essentials of the program for Tuesday, February 15

On the French side, we will especially watch Tess Ledeux, in the slopestyle final (2h30) after his silver medal on the Big Air, and of course the boys of the biathlon on the relay (7h30), with the unstoppable Quentin Fillon Maillet.
