The four far-right sympathizers sentenced on Friday evening for having savagely attacked two young men on May 7, 2017, at the Du Chaffault tram station in Nantes, appealed against the judgment of the Loire Assize Court- Atlantic. The two victims, encountered by chance as they were returning home by bicycle, had been confused by the attackers with anti-fascist activists. Erwan David, who had been prescribed a year total incapacity for work (ITT), has had its after-effects.
The four attackers received sentences ranging from three years in prison suspended to eight years in prison.
