Time is relative, as Albert Einstein already knew. Ultimately, of course, humans have no control over the passage of time, but that doesn’t stop humanity from dreaming of being able to control time. Time travel was a popular and fascinating subject as early as the 19th century, most notably in the 1895 novel The Time Machine by HG Wells.
New books and films with a time travel theme are now being published every year, because the concept is as simple as it is exciting. However, not every science fiction story follows the laws of physics or collapses if you question the time travel logic more closely.
Since there is (probably) no time travel yet, there is not just one general time travel rule. Whether it’s multiverse like The Flash or Spider-Man: No Way Home, or simply overriding past events, the important thing is that the story is coherent. And that’s exactly what the following films succeeded in doing!
