“It will start Friday evening at 500-600 meters and it will drop during the night to 300-400 meters,” explains Pascal de Guélis, forecaster at the meteorological agency.
From Alsace to Jura
He specifies that this precipitation will be “weaker” during the night from Friday to Saturday than Friday evening, which could prevent snow precipitation from remaining on the ground below 500m altitude.
Snowfall at low altitude is expected over a strip of territory stretching from Alsace to the south of the Jura via the Vosges, with uncertainties over the Alps.
These data remain “still a little to be confirmed”, more than two days before the arrival of these potential snowfalls, explains Pascal de Guélis. Again could also appear during the night from Saturday to Sunday, subject to sufficiently low temperatures.
