To remedy this “separation anxiety”, whether it comes from the animal or the owner, Alexandra Surand created “ The Beautiful Truffles » the first daycare for dogs in Puteaux.
The young woman from Lyon describes herself as “an animal lover” and the idea of a micro-nursery came to mind when she moved to Paris and wanted to adopt a dog. “I had irregular and long working hours so I became interested in different ways of looking after animals. »
She then discovered that the market for dog daycare centers was already well established in Anglo-Saxon countries but not yet in France. It officially launches in the summer of 2023 and opens its establishment last September in Puteaux. The place is located right next to the La Défense business district. Ideal, since its clientele is mainly made up of executives.
“The objective is really to make the daily life of the owners easier to contribute to the well-being of the animals” assures Alexandra Surand who is accompanied on a daily basis by canine handlers. Among the services offered, walks, games, chewing sessions and even grooming at an additional cost. Count 80 euros for a full day of care or 50 euros for half a day, a subscription also allows reductions.
