The first artists’ symposium Altomünster has opened – Dachau

At the opening of the first artists’ symposium, Mayor Michael Reiter and his “symposium officer” Susanna Allers welcomed many prominent politicians in the town hall on Tuesday: CSU member of the state parliament Bernhard Seidenath, Dachau district administrator Stefan Löwl and his Deggendorf counterpart Bernd Siebler, who until the recent cabinet shuffle Söders was Minister for Science and Art. Susanne Allers was in charge of organizing the artist symposium, supported by the community and her old school friend, the Berlin painter Bernd Schwarting. For a week, four artists from different disciplines work in Altomünster and let art lovers look over their shoulders. In addition to Schwarting, these are the painter Ingrid Floss, the concrete sculptor Friedemann Grieshaber and Clemens Hein. The wood sculptor could not be present at the opening. He injured his shoulder while trying to lift a heavy work of art into his car for the symposium. He can no longer hold the chainsaw he uses to carve his works himself. No less than the head of the town hall, Michael Reiter, should take over for him. You can watch on Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the works of the symposium artists can be seen in the Altomünster Museum from Saturday onwards, the vernissage is at 4 p.m.
