The “Fate” project at the Munich Kammerspiele researches those persecuted by the Nazis – Munich

After the Second World War, a cloak of silence and repression hung over the years of National Socialism for a long time, not only in politics, the judiciary and the economy, but also in the cultural sector. It is often only recently that many cultural institutions have come to terms with their sometimes dark past. The same goes for the Munich Kammerspiele. The late culture of remembrance, which is important right through to the artistic work for a house that is explicitly committed to the fight against racism, has a lot to do with the young director Martin Valdés-Stauber.
