The executive activates 49-3, the RN and LFI file two separate motions

New 49.3, this time on the Social Security budget, new motions. In the Assembly, the opposition responds to the executive. The RN and LFI filed two separate texts on Thursday. Marine Le Pen’s group made the suspense last all day, before opting for such a motion. On the left, the LFI group was determined.

Deprived of an absolute majority, Elisabeth Borne activated Wednesday evening, for the third time in a week, the constitutional weapon of 49.3 which makes it possible to pass a text of law without a vote, except adoption of a motion of censure.

LFI did not involve the left-wing coalition on the motion

In response to the first two, on the receipts of the State budget and that of the Social Security, the Nupes alliance had tabled two motions. But even before the vote, their differences in internal strategies were heard: LFI favorable to systematic deposits, the rest of the Nupes (socialists, communists, ecologists) much less.

It is therefore not too surprising that LFI will go it alone this time, at least for the filing of the motion.

Emmanuel Macron castigated Wednesday evening “the cynicism” and “the disorder” of the oppositions, accusing the left of having put themselves “hand in hand” with the National Rally. The motions are expected to be debated on Monday.
