The creators of “The Equalizer” have found a way to write Chris Noth’s character out of the series.

The end of Chris Noth’s (67) character in the series “The Equalizer” is sealed with the latest episode.

The actor, best known for his role as Mr. Big in “Sex and the City,” has been accused by several actresses of sexual assault. Although Noth has denied the allegations, his character of former CIA boss William Bishop has now been permanently dropped from the action series.

Noth played the mentor of Queen Latifah’s (52) character Robin McCall in the series. In January, she said goodbye to Europe for a case – Noth’s last appearance. Latifah explained that they still have to try to find a creative solution for the show’s important character. “Chris’s character is obviously an important part of the show and there was great chemistry,” she explained on “People (the TV Show!)”.

Warning, spoilers!

In the latest episode from Sunday, his disappearance according to “Entertainment Weekly” now cleared up: He dies in a plane crash staged by villain Mason Quinn (Chris Vance, 50).

“The Equalizer” is a reboot of the series “The Equalizer – The Guardian Angel of New York” (1985-1989), which ran in the 1980s. Back then, however, the episodes revolved around male ex-CIA agent Robert McCall (Edward Woodward, 1930-2009). The series can be seen on Sky, Amazon Prime or Apple TV.
