It’s confirmed, U2 is indeed working on the successor of Songs of Experience, their 2017 album. It was The Edge, the guitarist of the formation, who sold the wick in a recent interview with Rolling Stone, revealing in the process of working on a new song with bassist Adam Clayton.
“I’m just having so much fun writing (a song) without necessarily having to think about which direction it’s going to take. It’s more about enjoying the experience of composition without having any expectations or limitations in the process, ”he said, admitting in passing that nothing definitive had yet been recorded.
